Aborting Life / Choose Life

Abortion of Life    " CHOOSE LIFE"

What is an abortion?, What does it mean?, Does an abortion take place only after the semen and the egg meet in the mother’s womb?, Is it a sin to commit an abortion?, How should Christians view this issue?, What does the Word Of God teach us about abortion of life?, How should our hearts be toward life? What should married Christian’s be taught about children from Gods word?

Abortion By definition:
Abortion of Life- 1. The removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy (Birth of Life)
2.  Any of various surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, especially during the first six months
3. Anything that fails to develop, progress, or mature, as a design or project ect.
4. To abort something carries a general meaning then
To cause to cease or end at an early or premature stage.

Believers we look at those first two definition and say I total agree with that, the  fetus (baby) that is in the womb is a Life and  if the women aborts it that is a sin, outright disgrace, murder ect. We might even say that her heart is not seeking after Gods will. Let’s look at definitions 3 and 4.

According to definitions 3 and 4 given above, how should we view the situation when the female or male (husband and wife) have things done to their bodies to prevent life from beginning such as tubal ligation or vasectomy?  Is this aborting life?. Let me make it more clear with the following description of what this is. Tubal ligation or vasectomy or any other forms of prevention is a sterilization, it makes them BARREN, makes them CHILDLESS from that point on, you have indeed Aborted Life from coming into the world. People like to use the phrase birth control or family planning but let’s call it what it is LIFE Control. We want to be in control of LIFE and that belongs to The LORD God Almighty.

Psa 36:9
" For with You LORD (Yehovah) is the fountain of life, in Your light we see light"

God is the source and giver of all Life at all times. Men and women are means, vehicles, or vessels in which God has decided to continue new physical life. Husbands and wives don’t be deceived when you come together and conceive it is because the Will of God has made it so Praise Him and thank him for it.
With that said, is this consistent with what the Bible teaches us about this subject.
The Word of God expresses to be in that condition of childless or barren was not usually looked upon as a pleasant or blessed condition. God is in complete control over barrenness. This is the view women of old  and all women should have, while still praising God in there barrenness because they should know that it is God who opens and closes the womb.

The bible uses two words to describe this condition shakol  (H7921) and aqar (H6131)

Aqar- means to be in a barren state or sterile

Shakol- to cause, or make this condition
1) To be bereaved of, to make childless, miscarry
2) To cause to be barren, show barrenness or abort

  Scriptures using Aqar-

Gen 29: 31 Now the LORD saw that Leah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren. 32 Leah conceived and bore a son and named him Reuben, for she said, "Because the LORD has seen my affliction; surely now my husband will love me.

Ex 23:26
26"There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days

Here is an example of how shakol is used-
Esau was going to kill Jacob. Rebekah and Jacob had deceived Isaac into blessing Jacob over Esau, so to prevent the murder of Jacob Rebekah sent him out of town so that he would not be taken from her (killed). She did not want to be made childless

Gen. 27: 44-45
44 "Stay with him a few days, until your brother's fury subsides,
45 until your brother's anger against you subsides and he forgets what you did to him. Then I will send and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?"

Gen. 42:36
36Their father Jacob said to them, "You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and you would take Benjamin; all these things are against me."

The point that I'm making with these scriptures and the use of the words is this, whenever barrenness is used it is in the negative sense and by negative I mean that the text implies that this is not a desired condition. When the bibles talks about Life existing and then having that taken away is unpleasant or undesirable, and those not being able to bring forth Life is expressed in the same manner. The opposite of barrenness was adding to and in most cases in abundance.
Christian are we making our selves barren by getting our tubes cut, taking pills, or getting shots?” Why would we want to stand in the way of what God has declared a blessing, a reward, a gift, an inheritance? Saint’s please don’t get in the way of a God who gives perfect gifts because He is perfect. (James 1:17)

God wants us to desire Life that is Spiritual and physical life because without physical life there cannot be spiritual life. Jn 3: 1-10

I will give a couple of verses to express this, The LORD ( Yehovah) is speaking to the children of Israel about fulfilling promises and the obedience that He requires as they follow Him.

Deu 30:9
Then the LORD your God will prosper you abundantly in all the work of your hand, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your ground, for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, just as He rejoiced over your fathers;

Deu   :15-20
Choose Life
15 "See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; 16 in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. 17 "But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. 19 "I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, 20 by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

The point that I am making here is The LORD commanded the Israelites to CHOOSE LIFE. Did He only mean spiritual life? I believe the text proves that God wanted them to desire physical life also, that is the LIFE that comes from their bodies. If this is not the case then why does verse 9 say that The LORD will prosper the offspring of your body.

Now imagine for a minute that you are an Israelite during that time and the LORD has just commanded you to CHOOSE LIFE. We have already shown that this includes birthing children into the world and you decide while that’s good for some of my fellow Israelites, but as for me and my household we're going to do whatever we have to do in order to prevent LIFE.
Now which side of life and prosperity, and death and adversity do they fall on? So at this point I’m sure the questions are running through your mind.
What about if they could not can't get pregnant? What about if it’s a medical problem for the mother or the baby? What about if there was a rape? What about if its incest? What about we can’t afford children (the economy may be in a recession), What about using wisdom? It’s just not the right time!

Question, when do we stop Choosing Life and Prosperity?

Saints- Brothers, Sisters in Christ let us remove the hypocrisy from our testimony that we are a new creation in Christ (2cor 5:17). We should not live our lives, makeing choices and decisions based on our emotions, situations, human worldly wisdom and thought processes, but based them on “every word that proceeds for the mouth of God,” Matt 4:4

Abortion:
When we (Christians) proclaim to the unbeliever that to commit an abortion is a sin against God, but yet as healthy married couples we “decide” that we are going to do something to prevent life from ever beginning we are indeed playing the hypocrite. I proclaim to you that your heart is in the same place as the person who has decided to walk into that abortion clinic. Let us evaluate this situation the way Jesus would have us- according to the Word of God.

Matt 5:21-28
Jesus said, 21“You have heard that the ancients were told, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER’ and ‘Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.’ 22“But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court

27“You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY’; 28but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

1Jn 3:15 15Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

What is one of the main points that Jesus in making – “the visible manifestations of a sin is the result of what you have already committed in your heart.”

Let’s set the scenario- Two couples, couple (1) unbeliever does not know what the Word says about children or abortions. The wife has conceived and is now 6 weeks. The couple has thought about it, and has decide that now is not a good time for a child, (reasons) well we don’t have the money, we already have two, we’re too busy, I can’t do it physically  any more  etc. So they are going to the abortion clinic and terminate the child.
Couple (2) Profess to know what God says about children and abortions, and currently have four children. They decide you know we already have a four child blessing (Psa 127) from God and we just can’t afford any more, that last pregnancy and delivery was tough even life threating, we can’t mentally handle another one of God’s blessing so let us get our tubes tied, cut or whatever is available to “prevent life from beginning”. Saints, as I stated before, don’t be deceived by the world’s slick terminology “birth control” it is “life control”. You want to be in control of LIFE however this is the position of the LORD God Almighty and His alone
Psa 36:9 9For with You (God) is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.

The Lord is the source of life from" Thought to conception".

Would the advice of couple (2) to couple (1) (who has become a Christian now) be, you know you would not be committing a sin if you just prevent the potential of life from ever passing through your bodies? Does this sound familiar, this is what Jesus was getting at in Matt 5:21-28. What couple (2) has just said is you can continue in the lack of knowledge in what God has said about children and abortion, keep the same heart attitude about human life, but only change the way it looks on the outside. Saints is this the new birth? (Jn 3:1-11) What’s new about this creation? (2Cor 5:17) What has passed away?

I will close with this statement:
You have heard it said, that if a husband and wife go into an abortion clinic to terminate a pregnancy they are committing murder,
(With the authority of scripture), If a husband and wife have surgery, take pills, or get shots to “prevent life” they have already committed murder in their heart.

IF God is Sovereign

If God is sovereign (He is) why do Christians use the term Free to describe human will ie. free will.

God is Sovereign- that means he is above all, supreme in rank, rules, is all powerful, has all authority, is not disputable, not deniable, not able to be called into question, self governing.

God is the Almighty (unlimited power). He possess all the power and knowledge of heaven, earth and the universe so that he does not need help nor counsel from anything.  Nothing can defeat nor defend against His counsel, he works all things according to the counsel of His will, and no one can resist his will or opposes his plan. read Eph 1:11, Rom 9:19

Eph 1:11 " also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His (God’s) purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,"

Rom 9:19 "You will say to me then, "Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?" 20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?"

God's sovereignty is absolute- that means he is completely free from imperfection (error), completely free from restrictions (limitations), and completely independent ( needs support nor cooperation from anything).

Questions
1. Is everything subject to God's rule, control, authority, purpose, and plan? Even the thoughts and actions of man!

2. Who is the creator of all things? What or Who is the source of all things? How do all things exist and hold together? Why were they created? (past, present and future)?

Col  1: 16 "For it was in Him (God- Christ ) that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, ] and in and for Him."
17 And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).

Heb 1: 3 And He (Jesus the Son, the Christ) is the radiance of His (God the Father) glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His (Christ) power When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Rom 11: 36 For from Him (God- Christ) and through Him and to Him are all things To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

(Amplified Bible version)
Rom 11:36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen (so be it).
God says He is the Alpha and the Omega the Beginning and the End everything begins and end in Him. Rev 21:6

Question:
In light of these scriptures, Do all things mean all things or can we find something to exclude from what God has created. Is there any thing that God has created that He is not in control of? Are there things that exist that God does not uphold or sustain by His power.

So what about the action of man! Are the thoughts, actions, will, and heart off limits to the Creator God- No

Psa 33  14 "From His dwelling place He looks [intently] upon all the inhabitants of the earth"
15 "He (God) Who fashions the hearts of them all, Who considers (knows, understands) all their doings."
God is the one who fashions and creates the heart of man. Read the scripture references below about what comes out of the heart and what we are commanded to do with our hearts and minds.

"God controls the heart of man"
Pro 21:1, 2
"The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD, He turns it wherever He wishes (wills)"

Matt 15:18-19
18 "But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. 19 "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders

Mat 22:37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE
THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.'

So, God has formed the heart of man, He knows, considers, and understands all that we do because He made it,and He controls the heart of man. Does He control all hearts or just the hearts of kings only? No

Does God control the mind, thoughts, action, and will of man? If God controls the hearts of man, Is man ever free from the control of his Creator? Where is human free wil? Where is human free will? relative to His Creator. I'm not addressing the will of man relative to other created beings exa. human to human. I will address in a future post.

Actions that proceed from the heart, (reference scriptures)- Matt13:15, Matt 15:8, Matt 22:37, Matt 15:18,19, Luke 6:45, Jn 7:38, Rom 6:17

Believers and unbelievers  live and move only because of God

Acts 17:28
28For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring. (Paul talking to the men of Athens who were not believers.)
Similar to what Daniel said to the King Belshazzar in the latter part of

Dan 5:23
23but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

God is in control of every thought, breath, heart beat, swallow, smell, touch, taste, blink, and wink, EVERY MOVEMENT! EVERYTHING! " In him we live move and have our being can it get any clearer to us. What a awesome God! Have you ever tried to control you heart beat? Have you ever tried stop hearing if (if your not deaf) stop seeing (if you can see.)
These things we take for lightly, While we will say well that's obvious that God controls those things. But what about the not so obvious we assume that God must have left the mind, will and emotion up to the man to control-(free from the control of its Creator) no, not so according to the Word God. We make decsions but they are never independent of the control of our Creator.

More scriptures to consider!

Jer 10:23
O LORD, I know the way of man [is] not in himself; [It is] not in man who walks to direct his own steps.
  (Amp ver)
O Lord [pleads Jeremiah in the name of the people], I know that [the determination of] the way of a man is not in himself; it is not in man [even in a strong man or in a man at his best] to direct his [own] steps.

Pro 20:24
Man's steps are ordered by the Lord. How then can a man understand his way?

Pro 16:9
The mind of man plans his way,
But the LORD directs his steps.
Job 23:13, 14
But He(God)is unique and who can turn Him?
And what His soul desires, that He does
For He performs what is appointed for me (Job),

and many such decrees are with Him. Does this only apply to Job?

John 15:5
(Jesus says this of believers)
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Isa 46:10
The LORD  says I
Declare the end and the result from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure and purpose, - ref Job 42:1,2,

Isa 14:27 "For the LORD of hosts has planned, and who can frustrate it? And as for His stretched-out hand, who can turn it back?"

These scripture affirms that God plans the end result (the out come of a thing) from the beginning. God does not passively look into the future and allow or permit things to happen that fit his time schedule or plan, or waits to see how man handles a situation. He's in charge, Our God is Sovereign he Reigns, He governers all things by his Providence. Praise Him and Thank Him for it!

Question
What are these scripture revealing about God in relation to man?
How could we say, according to the scriptures, that the Human Will is free from his creator at anytime?

• Definition of Will- the faculty of man that he uses to decide, determine, or chose a certain thing over another and to perform an action.
Definition of Free- exempt from external authority, internal influence, any interference, any restrictions. Completely independent, clear of all obstructions or obstacles

So, does this describe the Human Will relative to his Creator? again Is the Human Will, completely free from external authority, completely free from restrictions (limitations) and completely independent(needs no support nor cooperation from anything) this term should only be reserved for our Creator alone just as , Sovereign, All Powerful, All Knowing, and  Eternal (without beginning or end) all of these attributes are set aside for God alone and no one has a right to them, neither should created beings have the right to the term Free Will in its true definition according to how most Christians seem to use the term.

How should we describe the human will or the mind, will, and emotions. In short, It is the faculties that God has given man that man will use to make choices, carry out actions, feel ect. and Most importantly experience HIM!

So why do Christians incorrectly use the term Free will to describe the human will, most of the time it is to try and understand or explain why evil exist or why bad things happen, that I will discuss in another Post also.

Christians nor unbelievers are ever free from the control of his Creator. God has not left anything up for grabs not our minds, hearts, nor our body parts.

We should profess this so that God is magnified in and over ALL THINGS! To HIM be the Glory and Dominion forever Amen.(so be it)
